Young Craftsmen Build Skills & Confidence Through Ring Toss Workshop

The boys of the church's youth group recently completed an exciting hands-on woodworking workshop, creating their very own handcrafted ring toss games while learning practical skills, teamwork, and patience along the way.
Meeting twice each month with their dedicated leaders, the group worked step by step through every stage of the project. Rather than assembling a pre-made kit, the boys built their games from raw materials, gaining firsthand experience with woodworking techniques and craftsmanship.
Throughout the workshop, they carefully measured and prepared the wood, sanded each piece until it was smooth, stained the finished components, painted, and assembled the completed ring toss game. They also crafted their own rings by shaping rope into circles and securing each one with decorative wooden beads, adding a unique handmade touch to every game.
The project was designed to teach more than woodworking. As the weeks progressed, the boys learned the value of following directions, paying attention to detail, working safely with tools, and encouraging one another. Each meeting brought visible progress, building anticipation as the finished games began to take shape.
