Community 4th of July Breakfast - Faith, Family, Freedom, & Fun!

On July 4, the Bass Lake community gathered for its annual Independence Day Breakfast. Approximately 120 people attended and enjoyed a delicious breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, milk, and lemonade, while celebrating faith, family, freedom, and fun.
Eileen Butteris shared, "It was one of the best breakfasts that the ward has had. Good food and fun people!"
Bethany Patrick agreed, saying, "It was really fun to get together as a community family and celebrate our country’s 250th birthday! Everyone seemed to have a really great time. I’m so grateful for all the men who cooked and provided the pancake breakfast."
Following breakfast, the youth proudly decorated their bikes and scooters in patriotic red, white, and blue for the annual bike and scooter parade. They also enjoyed playing tag and cooling off by running through the sprinklers.
Interactive Founding Fathers biography cards were available throughout the event, giving attendees an opportunity to learn more about the men who helped establish our nation.
Cristi Lindsey reflected, "It was a beautiful morning with our family and friends, celebrating faith and freedom."
Kimber Last shared, "This was our first Bass Lake community event. We immediately had people calling us over to sit by them, and we made some new friends. We love this community and know it was the right choice to move here!"
Patriotic music played throughout the morning, adding to the festive atmosphere and celebrating the spirit of our nation's independence.
With delicious food, wonderful fellowship, and plenty of family fun, the event was a great success. The breakfast not only celebrated our nation's independence but also strengthened the sense of community and friendship that makes Bass Lake such a special place. Everyone is already looking forward to celebrating together again next year!
